Between Heartbeats

Absolute bliss of sitting under
the peaceful wintery sun,
With the occasional view of
the birds too harmlessly basking.

Complete stillness outside and inside...

As if the heart no longer beat
And the grass muffled the
the subtle messages of the ground

Listening now to the tune of the twinkling water,
stranded in a lake with no intentions of moving,
Of receding to meet more of its own kind.

The leaves have stopped rustling
And the flowers frozen at their
most beautiful time

The bees have disappeared
The smoke vanished
The beautiful fountains stopped spewing their mild gushes of water
My breadth is no longer to me, audible

Connecting finally to the unknown, unchartered,
soaking what comes my way
Accepting equally all the good and the ugly
Not judging the truth from the lies.

Encouraging destiny to somehow smile
but not like before,
this time through the eyes
